Gin de Binche – Carnival Edition

Our distillery, Plus Oultre Distillery, proudly bears the name of Binche's historic motto: “Plus Oultre”, a symbol of ambition, going further and attachment to our local heritage. It was therefore only natural to create this special Carnival edition of Gin de Binche, a vibrant tribute to one of Belgium's most iconic folk traditions. 🇧🇪

Created in collaboration with the Carnival and Mask Museum, this exclusive edition is the result of more than six years of reflection, passion and development. It celebrates 20 years since the Carnival of Binche was inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list, a worldwide recognition of truly unique folklore.

Every detail of this bottle was designed as a true tribute to the world of Carnival. Its design features the festival's iconic colours and highlights its essential characters, including the legendary Gilles of Binche. Two label versions were created: one for the Belgian and international markets bearing the word “Carnaval”, and a more visual version placing the Gille directly in the spotlight.

Beyond its appearance, this gin also offers an aromatic interpretation inspired by the spirit of Carnival and the arrival of spring. This special edition subtly reimagines our Gin de Binche with floral notes of mimosa and elderflower, bringing freshness, elegance and delicacy to the blend. Juniper remains present and balanced, supported by a particularly refined, bright floral palate.
