Bonespéreuse – Craft Abbey Liqueur

Bonespéreuse is much more than a simple liqueur: it is a craft creation deeply inspired by great monastic traditions and old botanical maceration recipes. Created by Plus Oultre Distillery, it pays tribute to the history, medicinal plants and exceptional heritage of the Abbaye de Bonne-Espérance. 🇧🇪

Born from the slow maceration of carefully selected botanicals and spices, Bonespéreuse develops a rich, complex and elegant aromatic palette. Each tasting evokes the old monastic preparations in which herbs, roots and aromatic plants played a central role in the art of distillation and elixirs.

At the heart of this recipe is angelica, an emblematic plant steeped in history and mystery. Once nicknamed “root of the Holy Spirit”, it was renowned in the Middle Ages for its many virtues and held a special place in abbey medicinal gardens. Here it brings deep vegetal notes, gently spicy and subtly fresh, which give Bonespéreuse its distinctive personality.
