Black Lion Rum is much more than just a rum: it brings together two worlds, two climates and two traditions. Made from organic rum distilled in Paraguay and then refined in Belgium by Plus Oultre Distillery, it embodies a modern artisan vision of sipping rum, combining authenticity, travel and creativity.

Carefully distilled in a traditional pot still, this organic rum reveals great aromatic richness and a generous texture from the outset. This ancestral distillation method preserves the full depth of the sugar cane and produces a particularly expressive, elegant spirit.

After distillation in Paraguay 🇵🇾, Black Lion Rum crosses the Atlantic to continue ageing in Belgium 🇧🇪. It then rests in former American bourbon barrels 🇺🇸, which bring roundness, vanilla notes, woody touches and lovely aromatic complexity. The contrast between its original tropical climate and ageing in the Belgian climate allows the rum to develop a unique, subtle and particularly balanced profile.

Before bottling, Black Lion Rum receives a delicate infusion of carefully selected organic orange peels. This finishing touch brings freshness, elegance and an instantly recognisable aromatic signature. The citrus subtly brightens the rum's deep notes without ever masking its character.

This orange infusion is also a direct tribute to the Carnival of Binche 🎭, deeply connected to the distillery's identity. The famous oranges thrown by the Gilles symbolise celebration, sharing and Binche tradition. Through this rum, Plus Oultre Distillery set out to capture part of this unique festive atmosphere.
